The Range of Devices Used with Bluetooth

The range of devices that have the potential to use Bluetooth technology could either frighten or please someone who faced the task of helping others to find employment. The range of devices that could eventually make-use of the Bluetooth technology is as broad as the number of different ways by which men and women have chosen to earn a living. The day might come when a familiarity with Bluetooth technology would be required of almost every employee.

At the present time the range of devices using Bluetooth technology has been confined to those items most apt to appeal to either the traveling businessman or the music-loving young adult. Articles about Bluetooth technology highlight the degree to which its delivery of a Personal Area Network (PAN) permits the set-up of an instant office space.

A traveling businessman with access to Bluetooth technology would be relieved of a need to worry about delayed airplane flights. Such a man could bide his time waiting in the airport by taking out his laptop computer and connecting with those back at the office. Then he could commence work on any new task that he might not previously have heard about. He could also prepare for any planned meeting. There are many things a traveling businessman could use Bluetooth technology for.

Once the traveling businessman had reached his intended destination, and once he had set-up an "office" in his hotel room, then that man could use the Bluetooth technology to print on a print server. He could also send home any pictures that he had taken on his digital camera. Compact flash cards would have already allowed him to send an image directly from the camera to his laptop computer. He could then send the image from his laptop to his home computer.

While the businessman increased his productivity by using Bluetooth technology, his young teen son or daughter might be using the same technology to increase their opportunities to listen to their favorite tunes. They would no doubt be using the Bluetooth technology to listen to their iPods, while at the same time receiving calls from friends on their cell phone.

 Bit of History
Science is a dynamic undertaking directed to lowering the degree of the empiricism involved in solving problems; or, if you prefer, science is a process of fabricating a web of interconnected concepts and conceptual schemes arising from experiments and observations and fruitful of further experiments and observations.
—James Conant (1893–1978)

If those teens were old enough to drive, then they might be listening to the music using one of the latest hands-free systems. That same system would also allow them to talk on the phone without taking their hands off of the steering wheel. If they heard a song that they liked on the radio, they could record it and then later download it into the family's PC.

The makers of the Bluetooth technology are now looking into the possible medical applications their devices. If patient information could be shared quickly and easily, then patients would benefit immensely. Bluetooth could promise an avoidance of events such as the one that occurred in October of 1971 at Holyoke Hospital in Massachusetts.

Back then, when no sort of Bluetooth technology existed, the doctors at that hospital had a patient with an uncommon condition, Adult Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus. At that small hospital they had no way to learn about a condition that they had not previously encountered. Therefore, the patient had to ride in an ambulance all of the way to Philadelphia, the place where the condition had first been diagnosed.

That ambulance ride resulted in the delivery of a $600 bill to the parents of that young, 20-year old patient. It has become quite obvious that the introduction of the Bluetooth technology into the world of medicine could greatly benefit the consumers of medical care. Medical practitioners ought to receive whatever help is available, so that they can have ready access to the range of devices used with Bluetooth.

As you can see, Bluetooth technology really helps not only the average consumer, but also other professionals. This amazing technology can allow people to listen to their favorite music, or it can help medical professionals save lives. If you are interested in learning more about Bluetooth technology, you should head over to the nearest Bluetooth technology dealer to find out how the Bluetooth technology can help you in your daily life. You may find out you would benefit from Bluetooth technology more than you might initially think.
