If you have not noticed already, podcasting has taken the world by storm. With this new and wonderful technology, there are many great things that can be accomplished. The iPod is not just for downloading music files anymore; you can now download or create video files. This is now the mainstream with this iPod, as there are many new players available for the public and the market in a whole. Therefore, what's this new frenzy and why is the public going crazy about this little gem of a device? The iPod as a stand-alone MP3 player is a wonderful machine. It is small and very inconspicuous; it has upgradeable memory and is great on batteries. There is, however, more to this little machine that meets the eye. Now being able to do podcasting is where the big ticket is.

There are many things you can do when it comes to podcasting with your iPod, whatever you do, you can bet that you will be doing it in style. Whether it is music you are into, or making short videos you will have the help from a wonderful media friend in the ipod. Here we will look at a few ways to utilize the powers of this mighty little machine, when it comes to pod casting. If you are a music buff, and would like to share your vision with the world on what music is great to listen to then there is no better way that podcasting to convey your message. You can, for instance, start your own broadcast that is a sort of radio station; you will do all the voice and commercials and basically play what you want. You can even have it set up to take requests by way of a website attached to the broadcast. This will be done on your PC or Mac.

You could decide you like talk radio, where you will discuss things on a daily or weekly basis. When you decide to do a talk show, there really is no limit to what you can talk about. You can talk about politics, sports, movies, you name it. If you are really daring and looking for something a little more over the top, you could try incorporating interviews. This is a great way to draw in and retain an audience. When stated that you can do pretty much anything you want, it must be noted that you will want to at least ensure that you are doing so with some sort of respect and maturity. There is no reason why you would need to offend or upset anyone in the process of making your own broadcasts. This is a great way to get exposure for the new DJ or talk radio host.

When first we practice to deceive!
But when we’ve practised quite a while

You could also do a daily or weekly show pertaining to music videos. By purchasing the videos from the iTunes store, you can place them in a broadcast. This would be a great way to entertain the masses that are on their way to work while on the bus, or train. You can easily generate a large following to one of these broadcasts. Many people enjoy a good music video, and if they can find all the videos in one place that is easily accessible then all the better. Having this segment hooked to your home PC or Mac, again will allow for requests. It is easy for you to include a URL in your broadcasts, and this in turn will send people to your website or multiple sites. This is a great way to generate income, as you can have it set up as an affiliate site. In doing this you can generate traffic to your site, and have links to other sites that people can make purchases on. This will bring in money to fund your budding new project.

Have you ever thought of doing a daily sports show? This is a wonderful idea for the audience that is truly crazy about sports. In a world predominantly ruled by sports scores, this is an easy big ticket for your Podcasting. By doing podcasts on sports you will draw a very large audience, and this is an easy way to send people to your web site as well. Finally what better way to give information to that seminar, or conference than by way of podcasting? You could have all the information one could need to convey the information that you are trying to share.
