There is a common idea between DJs these days; this is that the more music you have on hand for a gig, the better. This is not new, however. The idea of having thousands upon thousands of songs at any one gig is. Back in the day when DJ services were carting around vinyl records, there was a limit to what could be brought or in better terms what would be brought. Those days transformed into compact discs and the world took notice at what the DJ was able to accomplish at a gig. Now that the world has once again moved further into the future of music, and it's vessel to be carried on, the use of an iPod seems more and more practical.
With the ample amount of storage space, and the ease of use, there really is no excuse for a DJ these days not to have one incorporated into their equipment lineup. They can hold more music than a small to mid sized radio station carries, and can fit in the top pocket of your shirt. Where do you go wrong in this scenario? There really is no down side to the iPod and its major music storage capacity, not where the DJ is concerned anyways. This is how a modern DJ is able to turn quite the profit from their profession, not only do they have the latest goods, they can bring them to any show at a drop of the hat. This in turn makes the modern DJ a very valuable commodity, in the realm of entertainment.
It is easy to see why a DJ can turn quite a profit from having an extensive array of music on hand, once that has gone through word of mouth work will be flooding in. if people get wind of the fact that you have an iPod full of music that can be hooked up to the main equipment, and played, your telephone will not stop ringing. DJs are always in high demand in this day and age. If the DJ were smart, they would have a Podcast already set up, for their advertisement. This is a great way to get exposure; this is by all means a good method for them to obtain a large amount of work. The DJ setting up their own Podcast, running it on a daily basis, and then allowing for the integration of new techniques, and methods of spreading what they have to offer around the block so to speak does this.
| Quote of the Day |
For us necessity is not as of old an image without us, with whom we can do warfare; it is a magic web woven through and through us, like that magnetic system of which modern science speaks, penetrating us with a network subtler than our subtlest nerves, yet bearing in it the central forces of the world.

Once the word is out that this particular DJ has the right material to tend to just about any affair, they can be sure that there will be calls about their services. This will bring in profit, this is great for them to get ahead in their business as well as get more memory for their iPod. This in turn will only enhance what they already have that is winning them business. Podcasting a wave of music for the up and coming DJ is the best way for someone to leak out the work, that they have to offer. When people have an idea what it is that you are selling, they will then be able to make a very solid choice when it comes to picking a quality DJ. There is no reason in this day and age that a good DJ that has a great selection of music cannot find work. There are so many things that a DJ can be useful for, weddings, proms, banquets you name it a DJ is needed.
Get your self out in the market as far as Podcasting is concerned, have the Podcast linked to your web site, and allow people to choose what it is that you do best. It is a good idea that you have a list of what it is you have, as far as music is concerned, this way people will know whether or not you will fit into what it is they are looking for. Get yourself some exposure, and show that you want the job. The best way to do this is to have your wares front and center. It will be worth the effort when you land the big jobs.
