Using Another's Website for Podcasting

There would be several reasons why you would want to use another person's web site for your Podcast. The most important would be that it is an affiliate site that will bring you in money if someone goes there and buys something. The affiliate promotes a merchants site with a link on his or her web page or through a Podcast. The merchant's products and services are promoted through the link and this will generate a profit for both parties. When a customer hears a Podcast about a link, clicks on it, and makes a purchase, the merchant gives the affiliate a commission. This is because that visitor found the link from the affiliate through the Podcast they made and so it is known by the link the buyer clicks from that the producer of the Podcast was the one that brought in the sale. The merchant and the affiliate will agree before what the actual commission will be for a particular sale. The affiliate needs to make sure that the product and services he or she is promoting have to do with each other.

The Podcast that you make must be geared towards that particular audience and have great content in it. You want to have a targeted audience and be able to promote these products and services on the affiliate site through your Podcast. If an affiliate has several types of businesses to promote they will have their own sites independent of each other and each Podcast will also have a separate linkage as well. This will keep things organized and only get the visitors who will generate sales through your Podcast to come and listen to what you have to say. Make sure that all the Podcasts you have are themed and easy to find on the popular search engines and in iTunes. You want to make sure that you are attracting potential buyers who are specifically looking for what your merchant or merchants' offer. This is a great way to make some really good money with your Podcasting skills.

The other reason you would want to make a Podcast about another person's web site is that you just plain like it and you want others to check it out. There is no money exchange in this and you will be doing this Podcast out of you own pleasure and nothing more. In this type of Podcast, you will not be promoting a product or a service of any kind. This will be a Podcast that just raves about something you want to share with others on. When dealing with this type of Podcast be sure to put the site's best foot forward and tell your audience what it is you love about this site. This will get more people to traffic the site and if they love it as much as you do they will trust what else you have for them in the future for entertainment web sites. You will not have to worry about someone having a problem with you promoting his or her web site for free for sure. It is really hard to get a good ranking these days with the large search engines. A really fabulous Podcast might just do the trick for this site and bring more traffic to it than expected.

No matter what your reasons are for doing a Podcast for someone else's web site, you will need to be at your best. This is not like putting yourself on the line. You are messing with someone else's hobby or living. Make sure that your Podcast is really awesome and there are no mistakes or errors. Just because you are not promoting yourself does not mean you can be lazy in the design and editing. Think about it, you really are selling yourself with your Podcasting skills. It does not matter what the Podcast is about. If it is bad you will not be likely to get any viewers. If it is great the viewers and web site designers will trust you as well. When using another's web site as you Podcast material remember that it is your unique Podcast that will make the real difference in what others think, view, or buy.
